Meet the Team
LarkTek is built by a team that blends deep death-care industry experience with modern software engineering.
David serves as President and lead developer of LarkTek. He earned degrees from Harvard University (bachelor's) and the University of Pennsylvania (master's). Before founding LarkTek, he worked at McMaster-Carr and Ro. His experience at his family's Larkin Mortuary inspired him to develop cohesive technology solutions for the funeral industry. He architected and coded the LarkTek platform from inception.
Rob brings extensive executive leadership and operational experience. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from Western Governors University and an Associate's in Accounting. He previously served as President of Larkin Mortuaries and its subsidiaries. Community involvement includes service on advisory boards such as The Tracy Aviary facilities committee. He enjoys gardening and cultivating subtropical palms in Utah.
Brandon graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 2001 and brings over two decades of industry experience across management, crematory operations, cemetery oversight, and mortuary science education. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management and a master's degree in Education from Western Governors University. He joined LarkTek in 2026 and resides in Pittsburg, Texas.
Yu Di brings expertise in backend development, quality assurance, and system optimization. A Brigham Young University-Idaho graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, he is proficient in Java, JavaScript, and Python. He holds AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner credentials and a Data Science certification. He enjoys outdoor activities, basketball, golf, and exploring new cuisines.
Kylie brings lifetime experience in floral operations and her family's business, Larkin Mortuary. She has supported families and created meaningful experiences throughout her career. She bridges traditional customer service with modern technology, helping death-care professionals modernize while maintaining core values.
Melissa grew up in her family's mortuary and floral businesses in Salt Lake City, gaining experience across accounting, funeral arrangements, and floral operations. She holds accounting credentials from Ensign College. She understands death-care professional needs and enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, including marathon training and waterskiing.
